Josh The Pirate

During the summer of 2020 our friend Josh was in a rollover tractor accident. His leg was badly injured and subsequently his leg had to be amputated.

When Josh woke up following the surgery we understand that one of the first things he asked was "Am I (or perhaps can I be) a pirate now?"

With that as an inspiration, I made a stained glass piece and Leslie made a quilt from the same pattern. We presented these to Josh for Christmas, complete with the story that we understood he had asked about becoming a pirate following his surgery and that we recognized that he might have some difficulty recruiting a crew for his pirate ship so we took the liberty of interviewing potential candidates for crew members and hired two individuals as his first crew members.
